Shelley Hayashi is the oldest of three children in a homeschooling family, but a new baby is on the way. Shelley often feels frustrated with and embarrassed by her two younger brothers and she is worried about how her responsibilities will change once the baby is born. When her mother goes to the hospital for her scheduled cesarean section, Shelley goes to a friend's house with her brothers.
